Why Reflexology?
Reflexology is a non-intrusive complementary health therapy based on the principle that different areas on the hands and feet (as well as other areas of the body) correspond with different areas of the body. It could be described as feeling like a relaxing alternating pressure massage, and is very much tailored to your individual needs through addressing key areas which are relevant to you. Please note however, that well-trained Reflexologists do not claim to cure, diagnose or prescribe.
The theory is that by working the reflexes of the body mirrored on the hands/feet, reflexology helps the body to restore its balance naturally. The impact of this may be feelings of:
- Reduced tension
- Better sleep patterns
- Improved sense of mental wellbeing
- Improved sense of physical wellbeing
There are however, a vast amount of perceived benefits of having regular Reflexology treatments. Like any complementary therapy, it is what suits you! As a therapist, I support you in monitoring the effectiveness of your treatments in order to let you make an informed choice about whether Reflexology is right for you at the moment.
During a treatment, you remain fully clothed, other than taking your socks and shoes off for Reflexology of the feet. The treatment also incorporates a general foot or hand massage using quality products such as from the Neal's Yard Remedies range.

- Does not prescribe, diagnose or cure
- Makes no promises on what the outcome of the treatment will be; we are all individual
- Keeps safety in mind which may result in me cancelling or postponing a treatment if it is not safe to carry out at that time
- In the event of a problem, makes communication as soon as is viably possible
I therefore, ask for: - Honest client feedback when possible, so Soul-Search Therapies can continue to improve its service or have the opportunity to rectify a problem (in the unlikely event one should occur)
- Consultation answers to be as honest as possible to ensure you have the safest, and most appropriate level of treatment
- Punctuality for appointments (or in the event of a problem, communication be made as soon as is viably possible)
- Cash payment or bank transfer during the appointment slot
Cancellation Policy
Soul-Search Therapies fully acknowledges that there may be certain times when an appointment needs to be rearranged. I do ask however, that any appointment cancellations must be made no later than 6pm the day before, so I am able to reallocate the treatment slot. Late cancellation may result in being charged for up to the cost of the treatment.
